EU/EES Applicants

No tuition fees for European students

Students from within the EU/EEA, and Switzerland, are entitled to free education in Sweden, and remain unaffected by the introduction of fees. For these students, the tuition fees are covered in full by Swedish government grants. EU/EEA students are exempt from fees, but must document their status. In addition, students coming to Sweden as part of an exchange agreement - regardless of nationality - are exempt from both application and tuition fees. For students from certain countries or regions, there are study grants available for studying in Sweden. See our UID resource collection for students of funding bodies and grants.
