4-week project in collaboration with FM Mattsson Mora
The objective was to explore how the next generation of semantic
and expressive sensor-controlled shower controls could look and
function. This year there was a special focus on exploring the
design opportunities the technology behind digital showers offer
the designer in order to create a design and interface that matches
the functionality and potential this product segment has.
The creative exercise started with an interaction workshop and
group research considering user needs, new functions, technologies,
experiences, materials and awareness of water consumption when
Each student presented their final concept with a physical
model, a poster and a short "photo-sketching-movie" showing the
intended interaction between the user and the shower concept.
