Kitchen Concepts for Sustainability

2018 Skills and Techniques

4-week course in collaboration with Electrolux 

 

Objective

The objective with this creative group exercise was to apply a user-centred approach in order to explore solutions that could meet different kinds of user's in a kitchen context, seen through a lens of sustainability and a 5-year timeframe.
The students were asked to consider the experience and usage users would encounter before, during and after using their proposed design concept and imagine how this could be a part of an ecosystem of appliances, accessories, consumables and services that could blend into a full and valuable experience for the end users. 

Result

At the final presentation for Electrolux the three student groups presented their concepts with posters and short videos to display and communicate the intended user experience.
