Form & Interaction

2014 Skills & Techniques

4-week project in collaboration with FM Mattsson Mora Group

The objective was to explore how the next generation of semantic and expressive sensor-controlled mixer tap could look and function.

Work method

The creative exercise started with an interaction workshop and group research considering user needs, new functions, technologies, experiences, materials and awareness of water consumption.
This year the students where also asked to consider the time-based interaction between the product and the user and were asked to visualize the user interface together with the flow and behaviour of the water with "photo-sketching-movies".

Each student presented their final concept with a physical model, a poster and a short "photo-sketching-movie" showing the intended interaction between the user and the mixer tap.
