UID work environment

UID work enviroment planning and implementation is build on preventive work, good routines and systematic follow-ups concerning both physical and psycho-social work environment. All staff and all students have the responsibility to inform themselves about, and follow, the rules, guidelines and practices relating to work environment that are established at Umeå Institute of Design and Umeå University.

Information about these rules and routines are given to all new students and staff coming to UID, according to check-lists and routines for information. During the study year, work environment issues are discussed and handled at School meetings, in the Work environment group, and in the EHS group. At the Local cooperation group before the Decision meeting, issues or work environment are always raised.

Follow-ups and revisions of the work environment plan are made on a yearly basis. The normal procedure for work environment issues is that the Work environment group discusses and carries out work in this field, and prepares and suggests issues for decision in the EHS group or the Decision meeting.
