Hearo – how to improve communication between deaf people and the hearing world
In collaboration with Nokia Design, Design Research & Foresights, and Focus Design Research
Deaf people communicate in sign-language, which is a fully functional visual language. The problems occur when deaf people and the hearing world communicate. These problems lead to segregation and alienation within society.
This device enables deaf people to directly communicate in an unhindered manner with hearing people in their own language. It also enables the user to get access to spoken information. The device is controlled by gestures which is natural for deaf people.
