Vehicle Design Project 2011 (in collab. with Kiska)
Class: TD1
Duration: 10 weeks (Fall)
The aim on this project was to practice vehicle design
methodology. Students performed basic research in order to identify
transportation design opportunities in their home countries. They
then applied this information into the development of a vehicle (or
transportation system) concept.
The design process incorporated cultural references as background
and inspiration. Students were expected to address real needs
identified during research. Results could include solutions for
personal or public transportation and even services like goods
delivery, rescue or professional applications for the year
2030.
A conceptual and human-centric approach was followed and the
solutions strongly considered the user experience when driving (or
riding) the vehicles in order to boost their attractiveness and
consequently have a positive effect on sustainability efforts.
