UID19 | Design Talks and Degree Show was the annual celebration of the rich talent being developed at the Umeå Institute of Design. This year's event included student and company presentations, keynotes delivered by leading designers, a design exhibition as well as a myriad of networking opportunities. The grad show has become a hotspot in the design community where major international companies, design professionals and the media gather in search of trends in the field. This year, representatives from all over the world travelled to Umeå to find inspiration, to follow up or establish collaborations and to recruit young designers.

During the event, graduating students from product-, interaction- and transportation design shared their express journeys. 40+ innovative grad projects were displayed via 3-minute talks, 3D models, digital visualizations and animations, AR- and VR technology and graphic posters. Learn more about the 42 grad projects from the PhD, MFA and BFA Programmes in the digital exhibition catalogue here
